Artist Statement - Nataliia V. Sakir
My art is a reflection of emotional landscapes — internal states, ancestral memory, and the unseen architecture of identity.
I blend symbolism, surrealism, and textured layering to explore transformation, resilience, and the tension between visible and invisible worlds.
Gold elements in my work represent structure, clarity, and spiritual alignment.
Roots and nature motifs symbolize grounding, feminine power, and life cycles.
Water, koi fish, and portals reflect emotional depth, transition, and the subconscious realm.
Much of my art is born from silence. It emerges when words fall short — during personal shifts, motherhood, migration, or deep emotional work.
Painting is not a performance for me. It is a return to truth. A form of prayer. A way to remember.
As an artist, I am not trying to explain. I am trying to transmit.
Through colour, form, and texture, I invite the viewer to reconnect with their own inner myth and emotional truth.
